Albergue el Socorro is one of those typical Costa Rican lodges where you can truly experience family hospitality.

Just a few kilometers on foot from Braulio Carrillo National Park and connected to it through primary and secondary forests, you can experience authentic Costa Rica in el Socorro.

At the Albergue el Socorro you will be lovingly welcomed and cared for by José and his family. There are only 3 small, very simple bungalows, located on a green hill surrounded by rainforests. An ideal place to relax, watch birds and other animals and enjoy real nature.

You would call it a holiday on the farm . Only it's even more! Authentic tours through your own nature reserve - not reforested, but just left to its own devices and protected. An absolutely rich landscape with many different types of birds that can be observed up close.

The family around Don José provides the visitor with typical, extremely tasty food. The main complaint: it's too much! Fortunately, it is not served on a plate, but you can choose for yourself which of the delicacies, which often come from our own breeding or cultivation, you would like to eat.

Other activities in the area: canopy, rafting on the Rio Sarapiquí, wildlife watching tours on the lower Sarapiquí (to Puerto Viejo).
