The proximity to the Panama border, the duty-free area around Golfito, as well as the large rainforest areas on the Osa Peninsula and the adjacent mainland make a trip particularly worthwhile. Corcovado National Park , along with adjoining rainforests, is the largest contiguous rainforest area in Central America.
The most pristine beaches in the Pacific can be found on this stretch of coast, and fantastic accommodations are available as starting points for exploring nature.
