Esterillos and surroundings
Playa Esterillos is an attractive beach
Beaches in the Central Pacific - A kilometer-long sandy beach is ideal for surfing and walking.
When swimming you have to be careful with strong currents; when the tide sets in, you have to expect a strong undertow - as everywhere on this coast.
Playa Esterillos is only 25 km south of Jacó and there is no major settlement nearby - the nearest small town "Parrita" is 25 km south-east.
The beach is divided into three parts: Esterillos West (Esterillos-Oeste), middle (Esterillos central) and east (Esterillos Este).
All three areas have to be approached separately; the runway is located on the eastern part of the beach.
