South Pacific region
The journey to the south is quite long and a bit boring
But then you will be rewarded. The south with the Osa Peninsula and the Corcovado National Park is one of the very special destinations in the country.
The entire south of Costa Rica is still relatively undeveloped. No industry, little infrastructure, small towns and lots of nature and jungle. The Osa Peninsula is home to the largest contiguous rainforest area in Central America, mostly the Corcovado National Park.
However, a little planning is recommended to visit this region. The good hotels and posadas only have small capacities, and access to the national parks is often limited.
We have some spectacular experiences in southern Costa Rica. Please write briefly to info@alautentico.com and we will be happy to share these tips.

Chirripó National Park
Cordillera de Talamanca, altitude from 1000 m to 3820 (Cerro Chirripó).
The Chrirripo National Park borders on the international national park " La Amistad " and together with it forms the largest contiguous protected area in Costa Rica and Panama.
Drakes Bay on the Osa Peninsula
The Bahia Drake Pirate Bay
The exotic west coast of the Osa Peninsula
Drake Bay can be reached via a rather complicated route
